The concept of community reach out is as ancient as we are able to trace Christ’s mission on this sinful world. When the devil was banished out of heaven he tumbled down to the depths of hell called Pandemonium. In Luke 10:18 Christ spoke of the devil’s fall from glorification to profane.
Revelation chapter 12 in the Bible sets forth the unleashing of evil upon earth. Mathew 24:21- 22 “ 21..for then shall be great tribulation, such was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be 22 and except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved; but for the elects sake those days shall be shortened”.
Jesus spoke of terrible times when he warned his disciples about the destruction of Jerusalem. We who are living today and have studied the bible we can testify of the terrible times we are experiencing. The story of the great controversy is real and this is the very reason we should reach out to the community and warn God’s people.
The concept of community outreach is not an ordinary tour, but rightly referred to as a mission to warn people about the existing controversy and provide a remedy for getting prepared for the soon return of our creator or else those who fail to heed the warnings perish!
Members of Adventist Laymen Services and Industries Jinja Chapter are not amused to see people perish when they are not warned. They have pulled their meager resources to what they able to do. They appeal to friends outside Jinja City to come and support them to fulfill mission goal in this part of the world.
Aware that within urban areas, the Youths and Young adults are the majority, members of ASI Jinja Chapter have strategically targeted the young people in tertiary institutions and colleges within Jinja City. These Youths and Young adults should be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to empower them for the work that lies ahead of them.
